LOG LINE: Two teens, Dominic and Penny, elevate their relationship to a new emotional level by making a psychedelic pact, but infatuation is not the only emotion that gets heightened.
Being enamored by someone can be blinding and addicting, especially at a young age. This interpretive dance piece explores the popular metaphor "Love is a Drug" through the lens of two avid drug using teenagers, Dominic and Penny, who take their relationship to a new emotional level by taking a ritualistic psychedelic drug called "Love." The carefully curated playlist is a compilation of modern R&B and pop songs whose lyrics explore the swelling rush of love as well as its ugly realities before, during, and after experiencing it. Although it is an emotion through which one can easily lose themselves, it is possible for one to find themselves again in the end.
